Self-hypnosis for self improvement

http://how-to-hypnotise.net/

Self hypnosis is a great tool for goal setting and self improvement. Most people are surprised at how easy it is to learn self-hypnosis. And self-hypnosis, in turn, makes a lot of things much easier.

Self hypnosis is usually thought of as a person listening to an audio tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media, intended to induce a willingness to absorb suggestions centered around a specific topic such as weight loss, stop smoking, etc.

Unfortunately, this kind of hypnosis is generally prepared by someone who has never met the person being hypnotized, often presenting unwanted, even unpleasant imagery and suggestions.

For example, if you sunburn easily, that last thing you want to hear about is a slow walk on a sunny beach. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis simply means that you listen to it by yourself.
How do you incorporate self improvement to hypnosis?

To be able to go about self improvement, there are certain aspects in you that should be addressed. Using hypnosis, the negative aspects that are serving as hindrances to improvement are eliminated.

A true self hypnosis would necessarily be designed and created by the very person who will ultimately use and benefit from it.

Unlike the mass-produced hypnosis, this hypnosis is made for the exact purpose the person wishes, including the precise words and phrases that mean the most to that particular person.

The true self hypnosis is thus crafted by the person to suit his or her own needs. The benefits derived could only be accomplished with such a personal, one-of-a-kind hypnosis. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis really does mean that you are hypnotized by yourself!

Below is a short view of the self hypnotic process. Though lots of variations of this method have been used, these are the basic steps you have to go through in order to hypnotize yourself to accomplish self improvement.

1. Position your goals from the most important goal to the less important. If possible, your goals should be measurable.

2. For each goal, you should formulate fitting suggestions which means you have to convert your goals into specific instructions to your subconscious mind on how to achieve each goal.

3. Relaxation. Use the first minutes of your self hypnotic session to get as relaxed as possible. Try to forget all your worries and problems.

4. Start your hypnotic initiation phase by saying and repeating out loud the hypnotic words you have chosen, thinking of these words or listening to a hypnotic tape or CD customized for your hypnotic and goal fulfillment needs.

5. Apply the hypnotic suggestions you have made for reaching the specific goal you work with, say them out loud, think them or use a tailored hypnotic tape or CD.

Before you start up your self hypnotic exercises you should make a time schedule for it. Do your hypnotic sessions every day, five minutes a day is enough. Repeat your suggestions as often as possible during the day.

Measure your progress. Are you closer to your goal now than you were before you started? Ask yourself. If you answer negative to these questions, you have to rethink and reorganize your train of thoughts.

This is the only way you can find out if this method is really helping you in achieving your self improvement goals.

Weight Loss Hypnosis

  http://how-to-hypnotise.net/

Controlling your weight and avoiding weight gain as you get older are important ways to prevent a host of weight-related health problems.

Indeed, if you are more than 20 pounds over your ideal weight, you are at greater risk for a rogues’ gallery of potentially deadly conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, endometrial cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, and breast cancer.

What’s more, most people who are overweight tend to avoid exercise, and that avoidance just adds to the toll paid for extra pounds.

If you have a sedentary lifestyle and are overweight, you are at a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and other health problems. And, if you already have a medical condition such as high cholesterol, being overweight puts you at higher risk for complications.

The good news is that even modest amounts of weight loss can improve your health significantly. Loss of 10% of body weight can reduce blood pressure, high cholesterol, triglyceride, and high blood sugar levels.

Today, there are many procedures that can contribute and help people loss weight effectively. One of the known procedure in losing weight is through hypnosis.

However, many misconceptions have come up with regards to the application of hypnosis in losing eight. And because it does not involve drugs or any kinds of medications and surgery, many people tend to think that losing weight through hypnosis seems to be one of the safest weight loss program.

To know more about hypnosis and its effects on losing weight, here is a list of some facts that will give you an insight about what it can do to your body weight.

1. Hypnosis can be an imminently risky if not done properly and not utilize by people who are highly trained with the real concept of hypnosis.

Even if many people tend to think that hypnosis will not pose imminent danger to their health, still, it is important to know that the person who will do the procedure is skilled enough and that he or she knows what factors to consider before doing the procedures.

2. Hypnosis alone cannot eliminate excess fat from the body and, therefore, make somebody lose weight.

Most health experts contend that hypnosis should only be a part of a whole assimilated process. It should never be used as the sole weight loss procedure.

Moreover, one session of hypnosis will only have very minimal results on an individual’s weight. When losing weight, hypnosis matched with psychotherapy will be more effective than hypnosis alone. This is because hypnosis is only a state of deeply relaxing the mind, in which one can still be in control of his or her own body.

3. Hypnosis is one way of getting into the subliminal state of a person. When a person is on the “hypnotic stage,” the body is more responsive to suggestibility because of its intensified state of concentration.

However, this does not necessarily mean that through hypnosis, one can already “reprogram” the mind of an individual.

In reality, hypnosis can only run the range from trouble-free relaxation condition to proper initiation managed by a professional hypnotists. Hence, it should not be considered paranormal and magical in its upshots.

Boiled down, people should be more aware that hypnosis is not a sole effective process in losing weight. It is more of a facilitator of various treatment techniques.

Therefore, it should be combined with other weight loss management program to be effective in making people lose excess weight. In this manner, people will be able to lose more weight with a more relaxed and refreshed state of mind.

As they say, a healthy mind is a healthy body.

Important Tips For Choosing the Right Health Drinks

image

Do you like the idea of getting healthier just by choosing the right health drinks? Just because a beverage is labeled as a health drink doesn’t mean it’s the best drink for your situation. Use these guidelines to choose the best health drinks for you.

Before we get started, you need to establish why you need the health drink. Are you looking to drink instead of eat a meal? Are you looking for a supplement that will help your muscles recover from a challenging work out? Hydrating after intense exercise in challenging weather? Or were you simply thirsty? You always want to check health drink labels to make sure they really are all natural and made from good fruits and veggies, but you’ll also want to match needs and ingredients as follows.

If you need a meal replacement, you’ll need to consider calories first.

Make sure the health drink falls inside your diet calorie parameters. The meal replacement health drink should also be low sugar and high protein. Choose fat over sugar, and if possible, choose a drink that actually contains some fiber (or mix in a little Metamucil). if the meal replacement has fat, fiber, and protein, you’ll feel full longer.

If you’re recovering from a weight lifting workout, you’ll want a health drink that is high in protein. You can buy prepared recovery drinks or make your own with protein powder.

If you need to hydrate after a tough cardio workout, you’ll want water, sugar, and electrolytes more than anything else.

If you are thirsty, that’s all, buy a low-calorie, natural, low sugar beverage. You want to leave room in your diet for calories you get to eat, rather than drinking all your calories.

Try out different health drinks until you find the ones that taste best to you.

Tips For Getting Back In Shape

There are a lot of people in their 50s, their 40s, their 30s, and even their 20s who were athletes once upon a time, and are athletes no more! And the worst part about it is, it is often not until you go out and try to play some sort of recreational sport that you realize that you are not in nearly as good of shape as you once were!

If you have recently had a painful epiphany and have realized that it might be time to start getting back in shape, here are a handful of tips you can follow.

Eating healthy and working out: If you want to get back in shape, this is the biggest thing - and you cannot do one or the other, but you have to actually do both!

This might not be easy at first, but it will become a lot easier as time goes on, especially as you begin to see results.

Intensifying your workout: If you have been eating healthy and working out for what seems like ages, and you have realized that you are still not in the shape you want to be in, you might need to make a move to “up” the workouts you have been doing.

You can do this in a number of ways, but some ways to think about are increasing the amount of time you are working out, increasing your repetitions, or simply upping the speed at which you are doing the repetitions. Additionally, you might want to consider doing something totally different with your workout in order to get yourself in better shape.

Make it a lifestyle: The main thing that causes so many people to end up failing in this is that they try to go on a sort of ”crash diet” and “crash workout routine,” and they are unable to keep this up in the long run.

Start out with something that you will have no problem sticking with, and then start building on it from there. Once you put all these things together, you will be able to start improving the shape you are in – until you are back to where you want to be!

Headache Relief Strategies

A bad headache can ruin your whole day. This simple primer will help you identify what is causing your headaches so you can find ways to eliminate them.

You get headaches when the muscles in veins laying just on top of your skull begin to swell. Those sensitive nerves shout an alarm to the brain, telling you in no uncertain terms that they do not like this swelling. You get that message in the form of a headache.

The majority of headaches are caused by tension. Tension headaches feel like a boa constrictor has wrapped itself around your head and given you a big squeeze. You can usually identify a tension headache by the pressure you feel across the front or back of your head. Menstruation, dehydration, noise, exhaustion, sugary foods, and stress are all triggers for this kind of headache. You can usually cope with a tension headache by lying down, getting a massage, using a cold compress, or simply getting away from the source of stress.

Another common headache is the sinus headache. You may feel this headache radiating down from the crown to spots on your face, as pressure from the sinus cavities causes this condition. You can usually get rid of a sinus headache by drinking hot beverages, massaging your facial tissue, breathing in steam, and clearing mucus from your sinus cavities.

One of the worst kinds of headaches is the migraine. Migraines are so intense that they often cause nausea, vomiting, the seeing of stars, unbearable pain, feeling faint, and the inability to handle light, strong smells, or any kind of noise. You maybe able to cope with your migraine if you can find a dark, peaceful place where you will not be disturbed.

If a headache is accompanied by high fever, convulsions, loss of muscle control, or the inability to communicate clearly and cohesively, you will want to visit the emergency room to rule out meningitis, stroke, or encephalitis.

In most cases, you can find headache relief if you change up your diet or environment. With any luck, a good night’s sleep and a couple ibuprofen (or similar analgesics) will help you feel better. However, if your headaches persist or are intense in nature, you will want to see a doctor for an evaluation.

A Raw Food Diet

We all know fruits and vegetables are good for us, but some people take this a step further and insist that a raw food diet is the healthiest option. There are a number of principles we can incorporate from the raw food diet that can help us. Not all of the raw food diets are vegetarian, though most are. So if you don’t want to move from your carnivorous ways, you might want to consider some things you can bring over from this diet.

image

The belief is that raw foods contain the hightest levels of nutrients and are the least processed food. There is some truth behind this statement. By not eating processed food you cut down on extra sugars and salts going into your system. These two things are directly linked to weight gain and heart problems. Processed foods also tend to be heated when they are processed.

Heated food tends to break down vitamins that exist within the food, making them less nutritous. Two examples of vitamins effected are thiamine and folic acid. Both are important to our neurological systems, blood sugar chemistry, and DNA synthesis. Heating the food also destroys the enzymes naturally present in the food that many argue are very good for you.

Also take into consideration that those who eat raw foods are often also very supportive of eating organic.  Organic eating reduces your chances of consuming chemicals which may have been sprayed on during production. This is also a healthier choice for both you and the environment in general.

By increasing your vegetables, fruits, and nuts you can directly benefit your heath by lowering your cholesterol, improving your heart health, and reducing your weight. You don’t have to become a vegetarian but adding one raw vegetarian meal a week can be worth it. There are many great resources out there for eating this way. One such book you may consider looking at is 11 Kristen Suzannes Easy Raw Recipe eBooks

Getting To Know Natural Energy Foods

The prevalence of coffee shops in today’s society – as well as the aggressive marketing campaigns of such energy drinks as Red Bull and Five-Hour Energy – suggests that many Americans suffer from a lack of energy, and they turn to these “supplements” to boost their energy every single day. But while drinking coffee or energy drinks will certainly keep you awake, there is a better way to get the energy your body needs – and it is by simply making sure you take care of your body each day in the right way!

The two vitamins most important to your body’s energy tank are vitamins D and E: Vitamin D comes from the sun, but since most of us do not get enough sun each day to supply us with the vitamin D we need, you should aim to get vitamin D from baked or steamed seafood and dark leafy greens; Vitamin E, on the other hand, can be found in such foods as raw almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds, and this will help your muscles to have energy.

In order for you to get your body energy, you also need protein, and while meat is one way by which you can get your protein quota for the day, you can also get it by eating nuts or by drinking protein smoothies.

Learn more about eating for energy!

Oats, fruits, and vegetables will all contribute healthy, long-lasting energy to your body, while carbohydrates and sugars will give you bursts of energy with subsequent crashes!

Finally, you might actually be eating too few meals if you are eating the right things and still feeling tired; rather than eating three “square” meals per day, try spacing out your meals, eating five or six smaller meals throughout the day, as this will keep your body from having to digest so much food at once, and will therefore keep your body feeling more awake.

Getting energy naturally is not hard at all; all you need to do is know the right foods, and make sure you are including these foods in your diet!

Why You Should Take Vitamin D

Should you take a Vitamin D supplement? What’s the buzz about this vitamin?

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient required for multiple health functions. It’s known to improve mood, support calcium absorption, and prevent hypertension, osteoporosis and some forms of cancer. If you are lacking Vitamin D, you may be at higher risk of developing brittle bones, cardiovascular issues, rickets, and diabetes.

The recent excitement about Vitamin D is related to a discovery that many Americans are found to be deficient. Common theories explaining this deficiency point to our heavy use of sunscreen and the amount of time Americans spend indoors.

But how do you know how much Vitamin D you need? Doctors are debating this topic, but baically it is agreed that you need somewhere in the range of 200-2000 IU a day. You don’t want to take more than 2000 IU a day because Vitamin D can be toxic at doses higher than 2000 IU. The most popular answer right now is to take about 1000 IU a day.

How can you get Vitamin D? You can get a natural dose of Vitamin D by sunbathing. You will get a baseline (200 IU) amount of Vitamin D if you spend ten minutes a day (unprotected) in direct sunlight. Some doctors suggest getting abut twenty minutes of unprotected sunlight before you apply SPF30 sunscreen, just to increase the amount of Vitamin D in your system. Other doctors say the risk of sunburn, skin cancer, and skin damage isn’t worth the benefits; these doctors suggest you find another way to get your Vitamin D.

One easy way is to take a pill (supplement), but you’ll want to watch the amount. Check your multivitamin to see how much Vitamin D it delivers. Some foods are supplemented with Vitamin D, such as orange juices and milk. Eat eggs and fish, and try good old fashioned cod liver oil for a natural dose of Vitamin D.

Check with your doctor during your next check up, asking if you should be concerned about your intake of Vitamin D.

Joining a Self-Defense School Can be Great for You.

Self-defense is not the only reason to join a self-defense class. Yes clearly you would enter self-defense to learn how to defend your self if you were ever attacked, but you will also get the side benefits of gaining fitness, concentration, and self-confidence.

You can plan on increasing your fintess level when you join a self-defense school. You will most likely start out doing yoga like stretches before you begin your workout. Push ups and sit-ups are also common place when you are exercising. Sometimes you will then go on to do “shadow boxing”.  This will definately raise your heart rate and make you break a sweat. You will get both a physical and a mental work out when you join self defense.

There is a large amount of things to learn in self-defense.  As you learn more complicated moves you will have to remember large combinations. It is not only important to do the steps correctly but it is important to try to keep your form correct also. The idea is to not be sloppy when you practice self-defense. The idea is to fine-tune your movements so that they are correct, so that if you ever have to use your self-defense you are most likely going to do it correctly. As you attend class regularly and practice for your belt testing, you will find you gain self-discipline.

Another great thing is as you work and learn self-defense your self-confidence will begin to grow. The higher in belt you are the more you know that you will be less likely to be a victim. When you don’t feel like a victim you are going to increase your self-confidence. Also as your self-confidence grows you are less likely to be a victim.

If you have any interest in self-defense, I would highly recommend you find a studio. You may be able to try a class out before you sign up. A single class will not give you quite the same feel as being enrolled in full time classes. To get the full benefits of self-defense you mush join a school and work their belt program.

Tips For Getting Started Working Out

Every year – sometimes around the New Year, sometimes around someone’s birthday, sometimes at random points throughout the year – tons of people decide they want to begin working out. One of the big problems, however – with these people who make this decision – is that they jump into this workout routine with no clue what they are doing. If you want to get started working out – and also want this “getting started” to turn into something consistent – you need to know what you are doing. You can effectively and consistently work out for a long time if you follow these tips to know what you are doing.

The importance of warming up and cooling down is one of the big areas people miss when it comes to getting started working out. You will open yourself up to injury if you jump into your workout every day with no warm up and if you end each day with no cool down. Always take the time to stretch properly before you work out, and cool down in the end with more stretching and with some light walking.

Check out the best exercises you have never heard of!

Strength training and cardiovascular workouts are two distinctly different things, so it is important that you understand the difference between the two. You will want to combine strength training with cardiovascular training if you are wanting to bulk up a little bit. If, on the other hand, you are simply wanting to stay healthy and in good shape, you will simply need to focus on cardiovascular workouts.

Finally, you should make sure you know your body – not just the way it feels while you are working out, but also the way you are supposed to feel. It is good for you to feel your muscles pushing a bit as you work out, but it is never good for you to experience pain while you work out. If you are experiencing pain – regardless of whether in strength training or a cardiovascular workout – it is time to cut back.

Weight training and cardiovascular training!

You can get started working out once you start to keep these things in mind – and your workouts will not only be effective, but they will also remain consistent!
